Q + A with Andrea Leite, Founder + Owner – Organice, Home Organizing Systems

Andrea Leite, Founder + Owner - Organice, Home Organizing SystemsQ. Hi Andrea, can you tell us a little about yourself?

A. I’m originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and my family and I arrived in Canada 12 years ago. We currently live in Mississauga, but will be moving to Oakville soon.

Q. Did you previously work in this industry?

A. No, I’ve never worked in this industry, but always loved home organization and everything related to organizing. I’ve worked most of my life in large corporations as an executive assistant, and in that role, I had to be organized. Also, growing up I shared a bedroom with my very messy sister, so I got the “organizing bug” from an early age.

Q. What inspired you to start this business?  

A. I was laid off in 2020 and it hit me really hard. My plan was to retire there, but their plan obviously wasn’t the same. So, after being in shock for a few days, I decided to start my home organizing business. I had been researching about it for several years and thought that this was the right time to do it.

Q. What separates you from the competition?

A. I’m very committed to my clients’ needs. I try to adapt my organizing skills to their busy lives, so the spaces can really work for them. I also love to educate them on how to stay organized after I leave.

Q. What services do you offer?

A. I offer home organization, virtual organization, unpacking, decluttering, downsizing and maintenance sessions. I also offer pre-home sale services, such as decluttering in preparation for professional photography and showings.

Q. What areas do you service? Q. Do you have a team of people helping you? 

A. I serve the GTA, but can also go a bit further. For example, the Hamilton area, Kitchener-Waterloo etc. For now, it’s just me!

Q. When you are not organizing other people’s homes and lives what do you like to do for fun?

A. I love to go for walks, watch TV series and movies and hang out with my friends.

Q. Do you have any plans this summer?

A. Well, I’ve been to the beach and had a couple of picnics already. But most of August I’ll spend packing for my move to Oakville!
