Walkability is defined as the ability to access amenities by foot within a reasonable time and distance. Being able to walk to a  central area, Main Street or public space within 30 minutes is very desirable to a lot of people. Mimico Village

Ourland Community Centre features a soccer field, baseball diamond, basketball courts and indoor and outdoor pool for those seeking activities. George R Gauld Jr School and The Mildenhall School are 2 options for education as well as Oak Learners for before and after school programs. Transit options are a very easy walk to TTC or the Mimico GO train.

Mimico

One of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Toronto, Mimico is known for its leafy streets next to the lake. The Martin Goodman trail extends from the west all the way downtown. Amos Waites Waterfront Park featuring a boardwalk, playscape, splash pad and outdoor pool is a hit with families and those seeking an active lifestyle. The shops along the Lake Shore strip features stores, restaurants, cafes and businesses so you don’t ever need to take transportation. Mimico GO is a short walk for quick trips downtown. Long Branch

A surge of townhouse developments has brought in the need for more shops and services to keep up with the increasing population. Lake Shore Blvd divides the area between north and south. Here you will find everything you need without ever having to jump in your car. With future projects planned for the neighbourhood you will be sure to see more businesses & services open up. The area is also known for having two of the largest parks along the lake. Sandwiching the community is Marie Curtis Park to the west and Colonel Sam Smith Park to the west.
