Our City certainly has no shortage of things to do this summer! Here are a few of our favourites for you to try out this summer with family and friends!
Butterfly Garden – Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat
A cute little pocket in Toronto dedicated solely to attracting urban wildlife. Go check out the fluttering wings of native butterflies. Located in Humber Bay Park East, you can find this secluded open-air butterfly paradise by continuing west on the bike trail from the bridge, where you’ll eventually spot a giant rock indicating the entrance to the HBBH. Mimico Summer Music Series
Friday evenings in the summer you can catch some live music with your neighbours at Mimico Square at Amos Waites Waterfront Park, next door to Birds and Beans Cafe. Always a good time, no huge commitment. Meet some friends, and listen to come music over a café and a treat!

Humber Bay Shores Waterfront Festival
Saturday, August 10th 2024, residents of South Etobicoke with be celebrating with a big street festival in Humber Bay Shores with live music, buskers, kid’s activities, food trucks, and a farmers market. This event happens every year, this is the 12th year this festival has been rocking!
Admission is free. The event runs from 10am to 9pm, rain or shine. More info here!
Humber Bay Shores Farmers Market
Held every Saturday between late May and early October from 9am-2pm in Humber Bay Park West. This very popular market offers a great selection of local meat, cheeses, fruits and vegetables and baked goods. Everything you need to make that delicious Saturday night dinner on the deck.

Satisfy your sweet tooth at Ed’s Real Scoop
Ed’s Real Scoop on Lake Shore is a staple for an evening in Mimico. They have over 100 flavours of ice cream that they rotate through, and we highly recommend the toasted, only available in summer. Go get it here!

Waterfront Night Market
Back for its fifteenth edition, the Toronto Waterfront Night Market is back with a huge variety of pan-Asian food vendors and craft beer to try. Over 100 delicious vendors are said to be at this event, along with a beer garden overlooking the water. You’ll get to sip on craft beer while you fill up on mouth-watering street food and cuisine from all over the continent. Please leave your furry friends at home!
